Dataset: 2005 Special Election Precinct Data

Description:	This file contains statewide registration data for registered voters that voted at a polling place. 

Unit of analysis: RR precincts are derived from consolidated registration precincts and are a geographic unit constructed for statistical merging purposes by the Statewide Database.

015 - Del Norte county RR and SR precinct data are unavailable for this election.

Data user notes: 

Note 1. Some California counties conduct "all-mail" elections and no longer have precinct polling places. 
All registered voters in these counties are forced to vote by mail-ballot.
 
Counties that conducted the 2005 Special election as an all "Vote-by-Mail" election: 
003 - Alpine does not have poll voters. It is an all forced vote-by-mail county
091 - Sierra does not have poll voters. It is an all forced vote-by-mail county

Errata 1. There are discrepancies in totals in the RG, RR and SR precinct files for the following counties:
037 - Los Angeles RG file has 10 more poll voters than the RR and SR files
107 - Tulare RG file has 1 more poll voter than the RR and SR files
109 - Tuolumne RG file has 20 more poll voters than the RR and SR files
